Aryan Khan’s bail plea listed for October 26 in Bombay HC | Hindi Movie News

Bombay High Court was scheduled to hear Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s bail plea but the matter has now been listed for October 26. Aryan’s lawyers Satish Maneshinde and Ammit Desair were present in court to mention the matter before Justice NW Sambre. Maneshinde requested for a hearing on Friday or Monday but ASG Anil Singh for NCB stated that they had not been served the copy yet. Furthermore, Court refused Maneshinde’s request for hearing via video conferencing and Aryan’s bail plea matter was listed for hearing on Tuesday. On Thursday morning, Shah Rukh Khan had visited son Aryan in jail.

On October 20, a special NDPS court rejected Aryan Khan’s bail plea and the star son’s legal team was quick to move HC against the order. Currently, Aryan is lodged at the Arthur Road Jail with several other accused from the drugs-on-cruise case. Reacting to Aryan’s bail application, zonal director of NCB’s Mumbai unit, Sameer Wankhede had stated, ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

After being arrested on October 3, Aryan Khan has been in lodged at the Arthur Road Jail for over two weeks. On October 11, Shah Rukh Khan had sent Rs 4,500 through money order to the prison for his son’s canteen expenses. Last week, Aryan Khan had got an opportunity to speak to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan for the first time in 12 days. He was allowed a video call with his parents, a facility that was introduced by jail authorities during the pandemic last year for inmates to communicate with their families and lawyers. “Aryan gave his mother’s number. He spoke to his mother and father through the video call facility for 10 minutes,” a senior jail official confirmed to TOI.

Aryan Khan’s lawyers have been arguing in court that no contraband was found from him and that he was only attending the party as a VVIP guest. However, the NCB has been opposing Aryan’s bail on the ground of alleged WhatsApp chats that indicate an international drugs racket, they have also stated that coming from an influential family, Aryan may tamper with evidence.
